It's probably some of the best diet news Americans will hear.
In Holly McCord's new book, "The Ice Cream Diet," a diet high in calcium keeps fat-burners in the body high. That means ice cream is on that list.
According to a survey done by Prevention magazine, ice cream is the one high-calorie treat Americans would like to eat every day.
McCord says that's okay and suggests women can have about a cup of ice cream a day. Men can have a cup and a half.
But she advises to remember to choose reduced-calorie ice creams and to work it into your regular diet of three meals a day, snacks and other sources of calcium.
The plan claims women could lose up to 30 pounds. Men can shed as much as 50 pounds.
