Michigan Senator Steps Up Iraq Criticism

The Michigan Democrat in line to become chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee says, “We're getting deeper and deeper into a hole,” in Iraq.

Carl Levin says it's time to look for alternatives. Levin says the Iraq Study Group's report is going to have an impact on whatever action might be possible in this Congress and in the next Congress.

Levin said earlier that US troops should begin coming home in phases within four to six months.

President Bush says he's looking forward to hearing what the bipartisan study group has to say.
