Governor Jennifer Granholm told about 100 supporters at a Lansing rally on Monday that they need to show up at the polls next week, rain or shine.
Granholm is locked in a battle with GOP Challenger Dick DeVos and the weather could be a determining factor as it was four years ago.
Granholm told News 10 that she went into the last election with a comfortable 14 point lead, but because of the rainy and cold weather on Election Day, "Many Democrats stayed home."
Sshe won that contest by only 4%. She does not want a repeat of history.
After that, she received on a bus called, “Put Michigan First" and headed for stopovers in Battle Creek and Jackson.
