Closing Arguments in the Lisa Holland Murder Trial

By  |

Before the case was handed over to the jury Wednesday afternoon, both sides gave their closing arguments.

Prosecuting Attorney Mike Ferency focused on the different legal avenues the jurors are allowed. Lisa Holland's co-counsel Andrew Abood took a more emotional approach. He ended his closing arguments as Ricky Holland, telling the jury about his last day alive and how his dad killed him.

The Defense maintains Tim killed Ricky and that Lisa is not guilty. The State says both played a part in his abuse and death and both should be held accountable. Tim claims Lisa killed Ricky. Tim pleaded guilty to second degree murder in September.

Abood urged the jurors to come back with a not guilty verdict. Ferency asked them to do their job, obey their oath and make sure justice is served.
