A 50-year-old Springport man is behind bars in a Jackson County jail cell tonight after allegedly aiming terrorist threats at his family and Springport schools.

This morning, the man reportedly dropped a shotgun shell on his 19-year-old son's desk and said "it all ends today."

He also allegedly told his son he was going to make a scene at Springport High School and his wife says he made similar claims to her.

The man is being held on the charge of making threats toward a school, a 20-year felony.

The Springport School District locked-down its buildings until the man was located.
