Tom Taylor, Lisa Holland's father, plead the fifth in court on Monday morning. Tim Holland alleges Taylor was present during some of Ricky Holland's alleged abuses leading up to the young boy's death. Taylor could face charges before all is said and done, and sought outside council who advised him to invoke his fifth amendment privilege against self-incrimination at his daughter's murder trial.
After the prosecution rested, the defense began exposing the holes in Tim Holland's testimony. Specifically, the two different versions of how Lisa allegedly killed their adopted son he told investigators. First, in January, that she hit him with a hammer. Then, in September, that she suffocated him with a pillow.
The defense could rest it's case and closing arguments could be heard as soon as tomorrow.
