One more witness will take the stand and then the prosecution will rest its case against Lisa Holland. She's the Williamston woman accused of abusing and murdering her adopted son Ricky.

Thursday, Judge Paula Manderfield ruled child abuse expert Dr. Elaine Pomeranz could testify to claims Lisa lied and exaggerated about Ricky's mental health problems. Dr. Pomeranz will take the stand Monday morning.

When the prosecution rests, the defense is expected to move for a directed verdict. It's a routine motion asking the judge to dismiss charges because the state has not proved its case.

The defense could rest its case sometime next week.
