Public Is One Step Closer to MEAP Results

After a delay running months, the Michigan Department of Treasury is allowing schools across the state to get a first glimpse at their preliminary MEAP scores.

Due to delays primarily over the integration of new database technology the results for grades 4, 5, 7 and 8 were delayed.

Districts are now in the process of checking the scores for correctness and have until Aug. 29 to make adjustments according to the state treasury.

The delay impacted an estimated 480,000 students.

A spokesperson for the state treasury says the public can expect to see the MEAP results online a few days following the Labor Day holiday.
