A Clinton county sheriff's deputy was hit by a car while directing traffic in dense fog.
The accident occurred around eight Tuesday morning in Ovid Township. Two vehicles collided at the M-21 and Watson Road intersection. One of the drivers was in the hospital.
While diverting traffic away from the crash, Deputy Doug Alward heard a car driving up toward him, so he dove out of the way, but the car clipped his leg.
He has been treated and released from the hospital.
