It'll cost more to get a driver's license in Michigan starting Oct. 1.
Gov. Granholm has signed a bill raising a number of registration fees, including those for driver's licenses.
Under the new law, it will cost $25, instead of the current $13, to get a driver's license.
And to keep driving will cost more, too, renewals go from $13 to $18.
The increases are part of a budget-balancing agreement between Granholm and Republican legislative leaders.
