Authorities have arrested a 23-year-old Marysville man suspected in a string of arsons, including one that killed 18 horses at a Port Huron-area farm.
The barn fire at the horse farm was one of six reported in the area the same morning.
Investigators think John Sarles set several fires on September 9th along a road in St. Clair County's Clyde Township.
He has been arraigned on charges including arson and attempted murder.
Prosecutors say a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.
Police say an anonymous tip led to Searles' arrest in nearby Macomb County the other day.
If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
