Two men are facing felony charges after police arrested them for breaking and entering at the Kresge Art Center and Museum at Michigan State University. And one of those men is recovering at an area hospital. He underwent surgury after police shot him.
Michigan State Univeristy police say two concerned people called 911 just before 11 p.m. Sunday night.
Police say they reported two men, both in their early 20's at the museum. Officers say the two men attempted to steal $75,000 worth of computer equipment from the computer lab at Kresge.
Both men are being charged with breaking and entering with the intent to commit larceny and the possession of burglary tools...both felonies carrying a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
Both MSU police and the Ingham County Prosecutors office are conducting investigations into the shooting and the breaking and entering. The officer is on paid administrative leave, which is standard procedure.
