Four Aramark employees were fired Wednesday for having sexual contact with inmates at the Bellamy Creek Correctional Facility in Ionia. Department of Corrections spokesman Russ Marlan told wilx.com the workers didn't have sexual intercourse with the prisoners but there was inappropriate contact inside the walk-in freezer in the prison's kitchen. 80 Aramark employees have been banned from state prisons since the company took over the food-services contract last December. The state has fined Aramark $98,000 for food-related violations of its $145 million contract and has threatened to end the agreement. State Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville has said he'd like to see the contract opened up for new bids.
