A statewide effort launched by noted Detroit-area attorney Geoffrey Fieger is targeting youth violence.
Fieger, along with his wife Keenie, are launching an advertising campaign to help parents.
The campaign will advertise the expanded focus of the Michigan Family Independence Agency's 20-year-old phone line. The ads center on three television spots with the Fiegers urging parents to call the line for help.
The hotline will focus on helping parents with children who are violent or who face violence in their lives.
The phone number for the 24-hour hotline is 1-800-942-4357.
