Bath Township residents will have a chance to speak out about the possibility of a new Meijer store going up on Saginaw Highway. A public hearing is being held Tuesday evening.
Meijer has applied for a special use permit to build on property just west of Saginaw Highway and Marsh Road. Some residents are opposed to having a store in that particular location because the land is elevated.
Sandy Klusack's backyard butts up to the area where Meijer wants to build. She says she's been told an eight foot wall will be built to fence off the store, but she feels it won't be enough to cut down on the sights and sounds the store will bring.
The public hearing begins at 7 p.m. at Bath Charter Township's hall.
