Francisco De La Cruz never thought his 35-year-old Famous Taco business would be robbed. But when a gunman escaped with $2,000 in stolen tips a few nights ago, De La Cruz says he decided to make changes in security.

De La Cruz is adding new security cameras and an alarm system, and he's hoping police will soon catch the man who threatened his employees with a shotgun.

More than eight robberies in various Mid-Michigan cities in the last week-and-a-half have several businesses being extra vigilant of the people who circulate their businesses, restaurants and banks.

Police are still investigating cases in Jackson, Okemos, Lansing Township, Eaton County, Lansing and East Lansing.
