Lansing Changes Recruiting Officer

On average every three years the coordinating officer of Lansing’s Marine recruiting post is replaced. This year Major Richard Whitmer takes that responsibility overseeing more than 60 counties as well as a tradition of success.

Maj. Whitmer takes the recruiting responsibility from Maj. William Bowers who oversaw the office for the past three years.

Over the past half decade the Marine Corps recruiting center has never missed a recruitment goal and is responsible for helping to train more than 2,100 over the last three years.
