A Dangerous End to the Day at a Lansing High School

Late Wednesday afternoon, the Lansing School District's Public Safety Director confirms there was a fight on Everett High School grounds. He says a non-student came onto the property and started a fight, but the community resource officer on duty along with other public safety officers were there to break it up immediately. No Lansing students were hurt, but the alleged instigator was taken to the hospital.

Four community resource officers started on the job at four Lansing Schools Tuesday.

Wednesday, News Ten spoke with Officer Tony Sandoval who's been placed at Eastern High School. Sandoval says his busiest time of the day is the 55-minute lunch period. For the last two days he's stayed on campus for lunch, but in the future he and the other officers could be patrolling the areas near their schools during the open campus lunch period.
