Michigan State Fair officials say four straight days of rain has drained attendance at the annual event in Detroit.
The fair is now offering bargains to visitors who come before the holiday weekend.
Officials say kids 12 and younger accompanied by an adult can get in free instead of paying four dollars for admission.
In addition, daily wristbands that allow unlimited access to more than 60 rides will also be discounted. They can be purchased for 15 dollars instead of 22 dollars.
Regular prices will resume Saturday through Monday.
State Fair General Manager John Hertel could not say how much attendance has dropped.
