Former state lawmaker Ruth Johnson was named today as the running mate to Republican gubernatorial candidate Dick DeVos.
In addition to her previous experience in the Michigan House of Representatives, Johnson has served as an Oakland county commissioner.
She was elected in 2004 as Oakland County Clerk/Register of Deeds.
Ms. Johnson also taught school in the Clarkson school system and has been a small business owner.
She is married and has one daughter.
