The 110th Security Forces Squadron, back from Operation Iraqi Freedom, spent Wednesday afternoon with students from Springport Elementary School.
It was the first time these airmen from Battle Creek got to see whose behind all the love and support they have been receiving the past two months.
The students adopted 14 members of the 110th Fighter Wing, sending them cards and packages while stationed overseas. Students took the time to meet and greet the airmen and ask questions.
Teachers say it was an opportunity for students to learn more about the war and take a personal interest in what was happening around the world.
