It's been about a year since construction began on the Andersons Albion Ethanol Plant. And now it's complete. On Saturday the facility was dedicated, just days before its opening on Monday.
The ethanol plant is the second to open in Michigan. It will produce 55 million gallons of ethanol, the primary ingredient in the alternative fuel E85. It also made 35 new jobs available to the Albion community.
There are three other Michigan ethanol plants that are scheduled to open by the end of the year.
