The head of the Senate Fiscal Agency says there are lots of "uncertainties" surrounding the possible alliance between General Motors and Nissan of Japan and Renault of France.
Gary Olson telling News 10 it could result in a loss of jobs in Michigan which would in turn mean fewer dollars flowing into state government coffers. But he warns that is "pure speculation" at this point.
At the same time Olson is also worried about the financial woes at Ford where he says they are doing badly. One bright spot is the positive impact 900 new auto supplier jobs will have on the Lansing area.
