Dr. Susan Caldwell of Sparrow Family Medical Services in Dewitt, along with thirteen other healthcare professionals in our area will be traveling to the remote village of Limon, Honduras on a week-long medical mission. The group includes doctors, nurses, medical assistants, dentists, as well as others in the field. They will provide free medical services to about 2,000 people during the week.
"The kids’ access to care is really bad. They're really suffering and there are things you can do to relieve that suffering so you kind of want to be there."
The group is still looking for donations to bring with them before they fly out on August 3rd. They're asking for pain relievers like Tylenol or Advil, chewable multi-vitamins, toothbrushes and toothpaste, school supplies, and monetary contributions. You can send donations to Sparrow Family Medical Services in Dewitt at 13191 Schavey Road Suite 3 Dewitt, MI 48820. For more information call (517)669-9109.
