Williamston Police were forced to rope off parts of Grand River Avenue due to concerns about a possible gas leak.
Police say earlier this morning, a male driver lost control of his pickup truck and hit a ditch that had a gas line.
Authorities feared a possible leak in the line after hearing hissing noises.
They decided to close Grand River Avenue from Meech to Dietz Roads for a little while as a safety precaution.
Grand River is now open again for morning commuters.
The driver was taken to a local hospital... no word on his injuries.
