General Motors Corp. has appointed executives to head its operations in Canada, South Korea and Mexico.
The moves, effective Aug. 1, were set off by the promotion of Michael Grimaldi, 54, president and general manager of GM of Canada, to president and CEO of GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. He succeeds Nick Reilly, who recently was promoted to group vice president and president of GM Asia Pacific, GM said in a statement issued Monday.
Filling the opening in Canada will be Arturo Elias, 51, who now is president and managing director of GM de Mexico.
Kevin Williams, 44, assistant managing director and manufacturing director of GM de Mexico, will take Elias' place in Mexico.
