As the war winds down and military action turns to rebuilding, loved ones from overseas are making their way home.
Lansing native, Lakeysha Ledesma, was greeted by family and friends at Capitol City Airport. The navy sailor had been stationed on the U.S.S. Mobile Bay in the Persian Gulf for nine and a half months.
Lakeysha also surprised her mother at Sparrow Hosptial who had no idea she was coming home.
Lakeysha plans on being home until May 21. Her and her father will then drive back to the 32nd Street Naval Base in San Diego, California. She will be stationed there until mid-June.
