Verizon Wireless is making some changes to its contracts.
The cell phone provider is changing the way it penalizes its customers who cancel contracts.
Instead of being charged a fixed $175 termination fee, the company will charge customers only the amount of time left in their contracts.
Verizon says the change will apply to contracts signed or renewed after the policy takes effect later this month.
