Thousands of people from across Michigan packed into the area surrounding the capitol Saturday in a show of gay pride. The 18th annual Michigan Pride Weekend included a festival along with a march to the capitol. It ended in a rally on the steps. And according to people like Troy Cousino, events like this one are one way for society to see homesexuals as equals.
"For people to think that a gay marriage would destroy the institution of marriage, I just find it funny, when celebrities can get an annulment after 30 some odd hours of marriage."
The weekend ended with a free dance party in Old Town.
