Explosion Destroys Mason Home

By  |

At around 2:00 Saturday afternoon, fire fighters were called to a house explosion on Coy Road in Mason.

When the Mason Fire Department arrived, they immediately called the Leslie Department for backup on the blaze.

Eventually, the Dansville Fire Department and the Delhi Township Firefighters were also called to assist.

Mason Fire Chief David Scott said it appears the house blew up, though they didn't have an immediate cause for the explosion.

A Meridian Township Fire Investigator was called to begin looking into the cause of the fire.

No one was injured in the explosion or the fire, as there was no one in the house.
