Michigan State University’s Breslin Center hosted more than 35,000 people in its undergraduate commencement ceremony. Students, families and friends all came to see the graduates as well as Gov. Jennifer Granholm deliver the commencement speech.
In her speech Granholm said to not be afraid of failure.
She used her own life experience as an example, as when she was 19 she moved out to Los Angles to become an actress.
Jokingly she referred to her big break there as a tour guide for the Universal Studios Theme Park.
She also remarked her other career was highlighted by a stint on The Dating Game.
Using her early career setback as an example she hoped to motivate graduates into doing great things and achieving success in the job force.
