Jackson Students Return to Ravaged Gulf Coast

For the second time in six months, Jackson area High School students are returning to the ravaged Gulf Coast.

Friday, 75 volunteers boarded two charter buses to make the long trip south. They'll be going to Alabama first, then Louisiana to deconstruct and reconstruct homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.

About 50 members of the group are high school students from six different Jackson schools. They will return June 26.
