Administrators at Lansing's Pattengill Middle School are looking to make adjustments to the district's dress code. But they say ultimately the decision for changes will be left up to the parents.

Students say what they wear, expresses who they are. District officials say individual schools have the authority to make changes to the basic school dress code.

One option the school is considering is for students to wear different colored golf shirts with different colored pants, not specific uniforms.

The district's dress code says attire, which is revealing, vulgar, or depicts illegal activities are prohibited.

There is a parent meeting on Thursday night at the school to further discuss this issue.
