In an arraignment in Charlotte, several guards subdued Randy Sherman Prater before proceedings began. It was one of two arraignments he attended where he’s charged with a total of three counts of murder and one count of entering without permission.
Prater is alleged to have killed two people in Bellevue and later ran over a jogger in Battle Creek.
While arriving in court in Eaton County, Prater was subdued, carried and restrained by officers before the court announced the charges against him.
Prater seemed to shake uncontrollably while the court denied him bail based on prior offenses.
