ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities have arrested three young men from Detroit's southern suburbs in the robbery-killing of a 71-year-old man at a senior housing complex in Ann Arbor.

MLive.com says two suspects are from Melvindale -- 19-year-old Mark Paling and 20-year-old Rikky Ranger. The third is 19-year-old Richard Thompson of Flat Rock.

They were arraigned Sunday on open-murder charges in the death of David E. Maurer. His body was found Dec. 1 at his home at Lurie Terrace.

Authorities say the men killed Maurer Nov. 23, stealing a computer, money, drugs, credit cards, cellphone and firearm.

The Washtenaw County Public Defender's Office represents the men. Their probable-cause hearing is Dec. 26.

There was no answer Sunday at the defender's office. The Associated Press has emailed director Lloyd Powell seeking comment.
