LANSING - A second bank was robbed in Lansing Friday. Hours after a bank was robbed on Pennsylvania Avenue, The Comerica Bank at the Frandor shopping plaza was robbed at about 3:30 p.m. Police say a man entered the bank through the west side entrance and jumped onto the counter. He demanded money, and threatened people in the bank with a handgun. He was given money and then fled. No one was injured.
Police brought in a dog to try to track the thief, but the track indicates the robber probably left in a vehicle.
The accused is described as a black male, 25-30 years of age, 5'10"- 6'0"and last seen wearing a green coat with green hood covering his face, tan or beige colored pants and black shoes.
Police say it is unclear if this bank robbery is related to the Case Credit Union robbery at 10:15 a.m.on Pennsylvania Avenue.
