People in Hell are all fired up today, celebrating June 6, 2006. Some believe it to be the Devil's Day, but the small community of Hell, Michigan looks at is as a way to cash in on its unusual name.

John Colone, Hell's unofficial Mayor, says about 10,000 people are expected in Hell Tuesday. Hell's population is usually somewhere around 72, but when word got out the small community in southeast Michigan would be celebrating on the sixth, many made plans to join in on the fun.

Diane Lawrence made the trip from Jackson to celebrate her 60th birthday. "So, I'll be 60 on 06-06-06," Lawrence said while standing in line to get free ice cream at Screams Ice Cream Shop.

Hell, Michigan is located about 50 miles southeast of Lansing.
