Governor Granholm says she's received commitments from 12 different Japanese companies to invest 84 million dollars and create more than 400 new jobs in Michigan during her three day trip.
Still no commitment, however, from her top prospects... new auto plants from both Toyota and Honda. Although, Granholm does believe Michigan has an advantage over other states because of it's long auto history and a ready workforce.
Dick DeVos, Granholm's likely November opponent, says it's not enough. DeVos says the tax structure still isn't structured to help smaller businesses.
