The State Treasury building in downtown Lansing has a new name.
It's been renamed after former Michigan Secretary of State Richard Austin.
A ceremony was held Thursday to officially rename the building.
Austin was the State's longest serving secretary of state... holding office from 1970 to 1994.
He was also the first African-American to hold the post.
Austin died five years ago... his widow Ida attended yesterday's event.
