Over 100 local public health officials attended a one-day seminar on dealing with potential bio terrorism threats to our state. The meeting is a joint effort of the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.
One of the goals was to lay the groundwork for good cooperation between state and local agencies should there be a threat.
Phil Schertizing, formerly of the Michigan State Police and now with MSU, says there should not be any turf battles between agencies and bringing them together in a face to face seminar such as this one helps to make sure that won't be a problem.
