Another mid-Michigan army unit is going on active duty. The 323rd Military Police Unit based in Jackson left their reserve center late Saturday saying goodbye to loved ones and preparing themselves for the Middle East.
A parade was held at 10 p.m. starting on West Argyle St. in Jackson. About a dozen soldiers said farewell to their hometown and families.
