Dozens of Jackson County residents are suffering from some kind of gastro-intestinal illness.
The county health department says about 40 people so far have gotten sick. Their symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea.
The first case was reported last Thursday. Health officials will not say where the outbreak started, but the say it is not related to a restaurant.

Health officials say the condition is not life threatening.
