LANSING - A Lansing school employee is charged with having sexual contact with one of her students. Carrie Alice Denbow, a 32 year old Student Assistance Provider at Lansing's Hill Center Academy, was arraigned today on 7 counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree. Those are felony charges. She is accused of having sexual contact with a student from 2006 to 2007. The Ingham County Prosecutor's office says the student was 13-15 years old during this time.

Carrie Denbow was placed on paid administrative leave from the Lansing School District since December of last year. She is the daughter of Terry Denbow, the head of MSU's University Relations department. He was with his daughter in court Thursday.

Carrie Denbow was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for July 25th.
