A Lansing man convicted of killing two cousins learns his fate.
Levon Pate will spend the next 40-60 years in prison for the murders of cousins Betsey and Brandy Lowe.
A judge handed down that ruling Wednesday.
The women were shot and killed at Lansing's Walsh Park in October of 2004.
During the trial, family and friends testified that 20-year-old Pate knew both women.
Pate is already serving a 37 to 50 year sentence for the standoff with police at the Red Robin Restaurant a week after the murders.
