Lansing Standoff

A father is behind bars today after a lengthy standoff with police.

Gemar Morgan was arrested Tuesday Morning after keeping Lansing Police at bay for 12 hours.

Police say he's been charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, and several other felonies.

It all began Monday afternoon when Morgan's wife told police he was holding their children hostage in an apartment building.

The building is located near the intersection of Martin Luther King and Le Grand Drive.

Negotiators were finally able to talk him outside where police tasered and arrested the man.

The children were not hurt.
