The bird flu has been slowly spreading from Asia, and is blamed for the deaths of more than one hundred humans and millions of birds.
Experts say migrating birds could bring the H5N1 strain from Asia to Alaska as soon as next month. From there... they say it could spread to the ducks, geese, and swans that migrate across the country, including Michigan.
