If you own a home or business in Lansing, you'll want to make sure the sidewalks on your property are clear of snow and ice.
Starting today, Lansing police officers will be looking for uncleared sidewalks and issuing tickets to those responsible. It's part of an initiative to keep people from having to walk in the streets.
If a property owner has made at least an effort to clear the sidewalk, Chief Mike Yankowski says they will still get a warning to remove the rest of the snow and ice.
Details, tonight, at 5.
