New Rehabilitation Facility to Open Soon

As we age, our bodies are typically less agile. So injuries to the knees and hips can be common. But in just a few weeks a new center in Okemos will be able to help these specific cases.

Susan O'Shea of the Ingham County Rehabilitation Services says the facility is designed to help elderly patients get back on their feet after an injury.

"Sometimes an older adult needs therapy for a longer duration. But they don't qualify for a hospital program. Yet they're not exactly where they need to be to go home."

The in-patient facility will include 32 beds and is available to anyone in the tri-county area. It's expected to open April 3.
