Cool Cities

Governor Granholm is working on Making Michigan cities "cool and hip,” kicking off the third year of the "Cool Cities" program Tuesday March 15.

Potential grant applicants met with others from around the state via video conference at Michigan State University.

The cool cities program focuses on improving downtown areas, main streets, and neighborhoods.

The governor believes building strong, interesting cities will help Michigan's economy by attracting job providers to the state.
