Tuesday's snowfall of several inches in the Lansing area was welcome for private snow removal companies. Many of these companies are hurting from a mild season of winter snowfall.
David Hidy, President of Hidy Towing and Snow Plowing, says that the industry is mired in a sub-par year.
While he says it’s not the worst he can remember he says many business have complained about the less than average snowfall.
He plows the parking lots for many mid-Michigan small businesses, and says that the best week has brought in $90,000 for his business.
While he welcomes the recent snowstorm, he’s not optimistic that it will mean a cash bounty nearly as large as years past.
